Our Haku Lei Making workshops for adults and families are a great introduction into Hawaiian art and culture. These haku making workshops go more into depth to the lei making process and its importance in our culture.
The lei is a popular symbol of Hawaiian culture – to give or receive a lei shows love, friendship, and the eternal spirit of Aloha. Students will learn the basics of lei making and the different lei making techniques such as wili/wrapping and create their own unique leis.
You’ll be surprised how simple, fun, and relaxing it is to make your own lei poʻo! Bring your girlfriends (they make for a fun ladies night out!), or come join us and make new friends, or your ohana on family day as we teach you traditional techniques of Haku Lei making.
